Sisterhood at the Epsilon Sigma chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is also about sharing the responsibility for attaining chapter and individual excellence and the highest type of womanhood. As we are constantly striving to meet this goal we also remember that growing, learning, and tolerance are reflected in sisterhood. For that matter, we support each of our members in all pursued endeavors, share hugs and smiles during times of disappointment and joy, and ultimately develop friendships that last a lifetime.
Sisterhood Events
Every semester we have various events designated to promoting sisterhood within our chapter. Both in the fall and spring, the entire chapter goes on a sisterhood retreat. This past year entailed a trip to an ice skating rink in Lexington for the day, and to a place where we learned trust and communication by doing low rope and high rope courses in Estill County. In other years we’ve traveled to the Cincinnati Zoo, The Art Box in Lexington, and even to Kings Island. Other events throughout the year include going out to eat at a nice restuarant in town and going to the movies. We are always up for new sisterhood event ideas!
